TEAM OF THE WEEK Last week, Lubbock’s KCBD-TV selected the Jayton Jaybirds as their Hoop Madness Team of the Week. Sportscaster Pete Christy praised the team for winning their thirdstraight State championship—the first 1A team to do it since Snook in 1981-82-83.
