Circus coming to Crosbyton April 8
CROSBYTON—The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus will be in Crosbyton on Monday, April 8 for two performances at 5:00 and 7:30 p.m.
The circus will be located one block west of the swimming pool.The Crosbyton Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is trying to raise $2,500 to purchase the CrosbytonVolunteer Fire Department a life-saving tool to use when fighting fires and is using proceeds from the circus to accomplish this goal.
The chamber only receives 10 percent of gate sales and needs all tickets to be purchased in advance.
Tickets purchased in advance will be $8 for ages 2-12 or seniors 65 and older and $13 for adults. If purchased on the day of the circus, tickets will be $9 for ages 2-12 or seniors 65 and older.

2nd Annual‘You’re Beautiful’Style Show, featuring cancer survivors April 6 in Crosbyton CROSBYTON—The Second Annual “You’re Beautiful!” Style Show, featuring regional cancer survivors and fighters will be Saturday, April 6 at 3 p.m. at the newly remodeled Crosby County Pioneer Memorial Museum.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets are on sale at Stuffology in Crosbyton or Tumbleweed Market in Ralls or at www.styleshow.site and are tax deductible.
Runway fashions will be provided by Stuffology and Tumbleweed Market, and the afternoon will include fashion, snacks and giveaways. There will also be a silent auction.

81ST ANNUAL COTTLE-KING OLD SETTLERS REUNION AND RODEO The 81st Annual Cottle-King Old Settlers Reunion and Rodeo gets underway Friday, April 19 with rodeo performances at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Rodeo events include saddle bronc riding, ranch bronc riding, bareback riding, tie-down calf roping, team roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing and bull riding. Admission is $10; children 6 and under get in free.
Also on Friday and Saturday night, children with a weight limit of 50 pounds may sign up to participate in a mutton busting competition.
On Friday night, the Buster Bledsoe band will perform for a country and western dance at the PaducahVFW. Doors open at 8:00 p.m.; dancing goes from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Admission is $15 per person.
On Saturday, the Old Settlers Reunion gets underway at 9 a.m. at Paducah High School with a breakfast and registration. The Old Settlers program begins at 11 a.m. featuring Skipper Shepherd with music by The Brownlees and Timmons.
The Old Settlers Trunk Show goes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the rodeo grounds Moffit Barn.
On Saturday at 4:00 p.m. will be the parade in downtown Paducah.
Also on Saturday will be the“World Famous”Stick Horse Rodeo at 5:00 p.m. at Moffit Show Barn admission is free.
A barbecue supper is set for Saturday from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the rodeo. Tickets are $15.
The Saturday night performance of the rodeo will be at 7:30 p.m. at the rodeo grounds, followed by mutton busting.
Jody Nix and the Texas Cowboys will be performing Saturday night at the Paducah VFW Hall. Tickets are $20 per person. Doors open at 8:00 p.m., and dancing goes from 9 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
FOOTHILLS CELEBRATION EVENT: DINNER AND DANCING Foothills Celebration is presenting an evening of dinner and dancing Friday, April 19 at the Singing R Ranch at 125 East FM 684 in Roaring Springs.
The featured entertainer will be Jordan Robert Kirk. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.; dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and includes steak, baked potato, salad and dessert. Tickets are $75 per person or $125 per couple. This is a BYOB event.
