The Spur Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 6th annual citywide Trunk or Treat event Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024.
Numerous decorated vehicles will be positioned along Second Street between Lawrence Brothers Grocery Store and First Baptist Church, between Burlington and Willard Avenues. Vehicle exhibitors should arrive onsite between 5 and 5:30 p.m., as the road closure will be set up by 5:30. Vehicle decoration and costumes are encouraged—and prizes will be awarded! Bringing substantial candy quantities to hand out is advised as well. The goal is to make this event a safe and enjoyable Halloweenseason celebration. Dickens residents are also hosting a Trunk or Treat event the same evening, with hayride and hot dogs — so if you’re attending both, be sure to take great care watching out for little ghosts and goblins while driving between!
