Spur will welcome locals and visitors to celebrate an extended Fourth of July weekend with fireworks, hot dogs, parades and more.
The community will kick off its holiday with a third Annual 4th of July Parade on Thursday, July 4 at 10 a.m. along Burlington Avenue in downtown Spur. Organizer Janet Bridges said that the group expects to have a veteran service member to ride in the parade.
A hot dog lunch will be provided after the parade. The Dickens County–Spur Public Library will host a patriotic photo booth in Rickels Park from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring your family dressed in red, white and blue and take pictures!
