KENT COUNTY GOLF COURSE is hosting a benefit scramble Sunday, Apr. 14, to help raise money for the Jaybird boys’basketball state championship rings. SAVE THE DATE for the return of the Dickens County Public Market, Saturday, Apr. 20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. at the Spur Community Center. Breakfast and lunch will not be served, but Spur Donuts, the Old Town Cafe and The Turnaround Top Cafe will be open.
KENT COUNTY EXTENSION AND 4-H will host the 16th Annual Women’s Program (The Girls Who Mill), Monday, Apr. 22, 5:30 p.m., at the Jayton Community Center. Free admission with your favorite salad and/or dessert for all to enjoy. Join us for an informative evening with demonstrations and tasting.
DICKENS COUNTY 4-H AND AGRILIFE EXTENSION SERVICE will host a Taco Pile On meal, Tuesday, Apr. 23, 6-7:30 p.m., at the Dickens County Senior Citizens Center. The cost is $10 per plate. Proceeds benefit the Dickens County 4-H Horse Club.
DICKENS COUNTY 4-H AND AGRILIFE EXTENSION SERVICE will host the Texas Community Futures Forum, Thursday, Apr. 25, at 6 p.m., at the courthouse annex multipurpose room, 201 US-82, Dickens. The purpose is to collect, identify, and prioritize issues that are important to Dickens County and to Texas.
KENT COUNTY GOLF COURSE tournament schedule is now posted. Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, will be the first event, the Three-Person Joe Martinez Memorial. Call (806) 237-4970.
