DICKENS COUNTY–SPUR LIBRARY story time, Thursdays, 10 a.m., for babies to preschool, 403 E. Hill St., Spur

PATTON SPRINGS ISD will recognize Dr. Seuss Week, Monday–Friday, March 3–8 

POST AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE is hosting its annual fundraiser, Casino Night, Saturday, March 8, 7–10 p.m., Community Center, 129 West Main St., in Post. The evening will feature live music, catered food, beer and wine along with casino games. Tickets are $25 per person and can be reserved at the Chamber office until Tuesday, March 5. DICKENS COUNTY 4-H meeting, Sunday, March 16, 4 p.m. 

HOST (HEART OF SNYDER TEXAS) is hosting Shamrock’n Around the Square, Monday, March 17, 4–7 p.m. Late-night shopping, food, and activities for all to enjoy.

DICKENS COUNTY 4-H will start its sewing project meetings on Thursday, March 20, 5:30 p.m., 4-H Center in Dickens. Other dates planned are March 27, April 3, and April 10.

SPUR GOLF ASSOCIATION Tuesday Scramble season begins April 1, teeing off at 5:30 p.m. Entry fee $10.

SAVE THE DATE for the Kent County Nursing Home “Jayton Idol”talent show, Friday, April 11, 6 p.m., school auditorium.
