DICKENS COUNTY-SPUR LIBRARY story time, Thursdays, 10 a.m., for babies to pre-school, 403 E. Hill St., Spur SPUR GOLF ASSOCIATION Scramble season, Tuesdays, begins April 1, teeing off at the Spur Golf Course, 5:30 p.m. Entry fee $10.

DICKENS COUNTY 4-H AND AGRILIFE EXTENSION will host horse playdays on Saturday May 31, June 14, and July 19, Dickens Arena. Books open at 8 a.m., leadline at 8:30 a.m., and start at 9 a.m. Age Divisions include Leadline, PeeWee, Junior and Senior.

DICKENS COUNTY 4-H AND AGRILIFE EXTENSION Food Handlers Safety Course, Thursday, May 29, 9:30 a.m. registration, 10 a.m.–12 noon. course, Dickens County Annex, 508 Crow St., Dickens; this course is for school cafeteria employees, restaurant employees, food truck owners and workers, or high school students wanting a certificate to have when applying for jobs

DICKENS COUNTY-SPUR LIBRARY will be the host site for A Lunch Experience with the Family and Youth Success Program of Catholic Charities of Lubbock, Thursday, June 5, noon, 403 East Hill St., Spur. The luncheon and activities are designed to strengthen family bonds. Feel free to come by yourself or bring your kids in this opportunity to invest in your family.
