COTTLE COUNTY EXTENSION AND 4-H is inviting 4-H members from surrounding counties to register for a Wildlife Day Camp, Tuesday, July 22. Register now by calling Cielo Farley at (806) 252-9906 or emailing cielo.farley@ag.tamu.edu for the indoor and outdoor activities for Grades 6-12 at Matador WMA, 3036 FM 3256, Paducah. Registration fee is $20.
KENT COUNTY LIBRARY is hosting Summer Yoga, Wednesdays through Aug. 6, at the library, 156 W. 4th St., Jayton. Ages 5–9 meet 10–10:30 a.m.; ages 10–17 meet 10:30–11 a.m.
SPUR CITY POOL will offer water aerobics, Tuesdays in July, 6:15 p.m. All ages 15 and up welcome. Pool season pass holders’cost is $5 per class; $8 per class for non-season pass holders.
SPUR GOLF ASSOCIATION Scramble season, Tuesdays, teeing off at the Spur Golf Course, 5:30 p.m. Entry fee $10.
DICKENS COUNTY-SPUR LIBRARY will host a special story time program Thursday, July 24, 1 p.m., 403 E. Hill St., Spur. Volunteers from Galaxy Company will be visiting to share two STEMthemed books, Artificial Intelligence for Kids and The Great Data Center Adventure. All curious kids and families are invited.
DICKENS COUNTY 4-H AND AGRILIFE EXTENSION SERVICE will host a membership drive and come-and-go pool party, Saturday, July 26, 2–5 p.m., Spur City Pool. Sign up as a Dickens County 4-H member for free. Pool entry fee will also be covered. Popsicles at the Pool will be set up across the street from the pool.
SPUR GOLF ASSOCIATION Fat Daddy’s Golf Tournament, Sat. July 26, 18-hole, 3-man scramble, $150 per team. Call Jimmy Ashley, (806) 781-8593, to register your team (field limited to first 18 teams to register).
KENT COUNTY EXTENSION AND 4-H invites all current and new members to Game Night, Wednesday, Aug. 6, 6 p.m., Jayton Community Center. End-of-year awards and re-enrollment for the coming year will also take place. Bring your favorite game and finger food.
THE PALACE THEATER will show a back-to-school movie, Saturday, Aug. 9, 7 p.m., 422 Burlington Ave., Spur. Tickets to “Minecraft”are $5 for adults and free for kids. Box office opens at 6:30 p.m.
DICKENS COUNTY PUBLIC MARKET will not gather in July and August. The next Public Market will be Saturday, Sept. 20, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., in the Garden Park next to Old Town Cafe on Burlington in Spur.
