The winners of the South Plains Electric Cooperative (SPEC) 2025 Youth Tour spent last week in Washington, D.C. Five students were chosen to represent SPEC, and each will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Operation Round Up. The all-expenses-paid trip was scheduled for June 15-23, 2025, according to SPEC.
The recipients are Cutter Bruce from Childress High School, Alison Abston from Frenship High School, Bentlie Manney from Quanah High School, Karagyn Scott from Roosevelt High School and Erin McGalliard from Spur High School.
These students joined other Texas youth in Washington, D.C. to participate in the national Youth Tour. The tour includes visits to historic sites, museums and meetings with their congressional representatives
