Some of the state’s top six-man football teams will do battle in Jayton during the Labor Day holiday weekend at the 15th Annual Jayton Gridiron Classic.
This event continues to grow each year, and in addition to football, shopping will be available at Jaybird Alley all day on Saturday. Businesses interested in having a booth can contact Christy Stanaland Coulter (806) 237-2991 for more information about being a vendor.
Among the pigskin competitors at the three-day event will be Borden County who won back-to-back six-man state championships in 2016 and 2017. Other marquee matchups include perennial post-season contenders Happy and Ira.
Jayton kicks off the classic, taking on Knox City Thursday at 8 p.m. and Spur faces Crowell Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
