The temperature may have been blazing hot but 42 participants showed up to endure the heat for the weekly Tuesday scramble and eight teams were formed.
With a score of 29 and 7 under par, the team of Russell Conrad, Dana Conrad, Donald Taylor, Kayden Taylor and Eddie Clark claimed the 1st place bragging rights and money for the week.
The team of Landon White, Zach Loudermilk, Gene Everheart, Jason Tanner, Sue Starkey and Justin Posey shot a score of 31 and 5 under par to take home the 2nd place winnings.
Tying with 4 under par and a score of 32, were the teams of Floyd Starkey, Dancie Gonzalez, Freddy Gonzalez, Jimmy Ashley, Brian Beaty and Stephanie Beaty and the team of Mike Day, Janie Day, Daniel Perez, Brandon McBroom and Woodrow Stiewert. The Gonzales team won the 3rd place money on a scorecard playoff.
Russell Conrad landed his drive on the No. 8 hole at 8 feet 7 inches from the cup to take home that money.
No one landed a drive on the No. 1 Hole so that money pot will roll over and grow.
On Saturday, July 27 the 10th annual Fat Daddy’s 3-Man Scramble will be held at SGA. This is a 3-man 18-hole scramble and it is always a lot of fun, so you don't want to miss out. It is $150 per team to enter. Contact Tyler Luke at (806) 269-1606 for information.
