Annual Kent Co. 4-H banquets recognizes members, leaders

The 2017-2018 Kent County 4-H Awards Banquet was held Sunday, July 15,, 2018. Members and adult leaders were recognized for another successful year. Award winners are as follows:

•Community Service Award-This award is to recognize youth that have shown the initiative and personal motivation to carry out innovative community service projects and/or programs. One junior, intermediate and senior 4-H member will be recognized for their community service efforts.

•Clever Clover Community Service Award sponsored by Charles and Becky Arnold-Lainey Baldridge

•Stars of Tomorrow Community Service Award sponsored by Kent County Women’s Golf Association-Kenady Crawford

•Friends Forever Community Service Award sponsored by Kent County General Store-Kiersten Sifre

Shooting Sports participants were given pins

2017-2018 Officers were recognized

•Green Star- This award encourages excellence in 4-H work among first year members. To be eligible for this award, you must be a first year 4-H member, participated in local club activities, and participated in county contests and events.

•Green Star Award sponsored by Lee’s Metal & More-Dayton Bleiker

•Bronze Star-This award encourages excellence in 4-H work among junior members. To be eligible for this award, you must have completed two consecutive years as a 4-H member and not passed your 12th birthday before January 1st of the current year.

•Bronze Star Award sponsored by Wes and Tonja Seaton-Cutter Lee

•Silver Star-This award encourages excellence in 4-H work among intermediate members. To be eligible for this award, you must have completed two consecutive years of 4-H work and you must be 12 years old and not passed your 15th birthday before January 1st of the current year.

•Silver Star Award sponsored by Tobi Hall-Jayme Braly

•I Dare You Award-This award encourages excellence in 4-H work among senior members. To be eligible for this award, you must be a senior 4-H member as of January 1 of the current 4-H year and completed two consecutive years as a 4-H member.

•I Dare You Award sponsored by Kent County Chamber of Commerce-Kiersten Sifre
