DICKENS 4-H HONORS Calvin Hays Chapman (pictured), Patton Springs 5th grader and a member of Dickens County 4-H, was the top individual in the junior/intermediate age group at the Bell County Youth Fair Agricultural Products ID contest on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Belton. Henry Chapman, a 3th grader at Patton Springs placed 11th. This contest requires the individual to not only correctly identify agricultural products that are produced in Texas but also to know pertinent facts about the products, such as growing conditions, varieties best suited for Texas, production amounts and many other details.
