Dickens Co. 4-H holds last summer day camp

The last of the 4-H summer day camps was held on July 16 at the Dickens County 4-H Center.

The participants continued to learn about the Fashion Project and to improve their sewing skills. They made pillowcases with French seams and coordinating bands. They learned some different ways that fabric is dyed and then practiced by tiedying T-shirts.

The Duds to Dazzle contest involves making accessories from what is available; for this project, the girls made friendship bracelets out of elastic and pony beads.
