Dickens junior 4-H team wins Grand Champion at District 3 meat judging

    Dickens County 4-H members traveled to Texas Tech University in Lubbock on Thursday to participate in the District 3 4-H Meat Judging Competition. The Junior Team of Calvin Hays Chapman, Rylee Foster and Henry Champion won Grand Champion Team. They scored 86 points better than the 2nd place team.

    In addition, Calvin Hays Chapman won Grand Champion Junior Individual and Henry Chapman placed 5th overall. Grayson James competed in the Intermediate Division and represented Dickens County 4-H well. | COURTESY PHOTOS
