The Patton Springs Rangers traveled to Southland last Friday night, Oct. 12, 2018 to face off with the Eagles for their homecoming game. The Rangers were coming off of a bye-week looking to steal another homecoming for the season.
They would begin promisingly the very first play of the game with a forced fumble on the Eagles return. With this start, it seemed the Rangers were setting the tone for the night.
The Eagles, however, thought differently about their homecoming. They would fight back and hold the Rangers the entire night shutting them out 46-0.
Leading for the Eagles was their #10, scoring more than four touchdowns on the night. The Eagles would walk away with a successful homecoming in their books.
The Rangers look ahead to district as they have a bye-week this week and will prepare to stand toe-to-toe with Motley County at their house for the district opener on Friday, Oct. 26. Despite the upsetting results of the shutout against the Eagles, the Rangers look to next Friday with the full expectation of sending the Matadors home with an upsetting loss.
