Tuesday Scramble Recap, August 12. It was another great evening on the course with 29 players turning out for this week’s scramble.
• 1st place: Austin Moreno, Jimmy Ashley, Jared Ashley and Brandon McBroom – 30 (6 under), highlighted by an eagle on #9.
• 2nd place: Anthony Segura, Andy Hale, Robin Shuck and Eddie Clark – 32 (4 under).
• 3rd place: Jack Marshall, Ben Blain, Freddy Gonzalez and Justin Posey – 34 (2 under).
Ben Blain was closest to the pin on #8, taking home the prize money. No one hit the green on #1, so that prize carries over to next week. The next Tuesday Scramble is set for August 19.
Upcoming Tournament, September 13. Mark your calendars for the Spur Volunteer Fire Department Benefit Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 13. This 4-person scramble is $400 per team with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start and lunch included. Hole sponsorships are available. Course and board updates. The board has set Saturday, Oct.4 for the Club Championship, with a 1:00 p.m. tee time. The annual member meeting and meal will follow at approximately 5:30 p.m.
The association recently purchased an additional rental cart from Mike to better serve players and welcomed five new members over the past month. Interested in joining? Membership applications are available at the clubhouse check-in desk or from any board member.
