Lake Alan Henry
Water clear main lake and 66 degrees, stained up the river and 73 degrees; 1.95' low. Black bass are good on topwaters and fair on Texas rigged worms. Crappie are fair at night on minnows. Catfishing are fair on punch bait and cut bait.
Lake Colorado City
Water stained; 59–67 degrees; 12.92' low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, split shot rigged 3" watermelon/red flukes and swim jigs. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.
Lake Sweetwater
Water stained; 57–68 degrees; 0.17' high. This lake is currently experiencing a fish kill due to golden alga. Biologists are monitoring the situation and will post updates as they become available. Fish populations have been substantially reduced by the golden alga blooms.
White River Lake
Water stained; 55–67 degrees; 22.62' low. Black bass are fair to good on buzzbaits early and late, midday switching to Texas rigs and shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on split shot rigged live minnows. Catfish are good live or dead minnows.
*To prevent the spread of zebra mussels, the law requires draining of water from boats and onboard receptacles when leaving or approaching public fresh waters.
