FormerSpuretteTatum Walker, a graduate of the class of 2024, was highlighted last weekend by Channel 6 News in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She and her travel team traveled to Tulsa for the Court of Champions Tournament. The piece titled “Rising Stars Shine” showcased some of the best youth basketball players from across the multi-state region try to make their mark.
Walker has committed to play basketball for the Howard Payne University Lady Jackets. She will also be keeping her old Spurette number, #33, with the Lady Jackets.
She played two games on Saturday and said she had a good day.
Walker told the TV station that going to big tournaments such as the Oklahoma event helped in her recruitment. She saaid she looks forward to the journey ahead in the sport, and in life.
