JAYBIRDS ADVANCING TO REGIONAL CROSS-COUNTRY MEET. The Jayton JH boys’ team swept the District meet, taking first through fifth places, in Spur on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018. The junior high boys placed first in team competition. Individually, Cody Redding took first place, Jaydon Rivera took second, Ben Blankenship took third, Isaac King took fourth and K.K. Greenwood took fifth. The varsity girls’ team (not pictured) took fifth place in the team competition. The JV girls’ team (not pictured) took second in the team competition. Individually, Claire Nail (not pictured) took first place in the JV girls’ division. The top three teams and top 10 individuals will advance to the Regional meet to be held in San Angelo, TX on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018.
