Jayton lost to 2A Reagan County back in February 2023, but that defeat didn’t repeat last week. The Jaybirds stopped the Reagan County Owls with a definitive 65-44 victory. The Jaybirds have made a habit of leaving no mistake of who wins each game, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Jayton’s win was their third straight, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The Jaybirds have dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 44 points. As for Reagan County, they moved to 19-6 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
The scheduled Lady Jays game was cancelled due to illness.
