Girl Scout Troop 7115 had another great year of developing life skills and serving the community, which remains at the heart of the troop.
Some highlights of the year included camping trips to Mesquite Grove and Stevens Ranch where the girls enjoyed outdoor cooking, dish duty, campfire, s’mores, stargazing, hiking, crafting, skits and singing.
The Daisies had their very own fun day in April celebrating Dr. Seuss in Abilene.
The troop also participated in the homecoming and Winterfest parades, helped host a Daddy Daughter sock hop, and enjoyed crafting with the residents of Kent County Nursing Home. Some special visits to the nursing home included making calming sensory bottles, painting button canvas art, making joyful noises through music, decking the halls for Christmas cheer and crafting sun catchers and Easter bunnies to hang in their room windows.
In their most recent visit to the nursing home on April 16, the girls enjoyed sprucing up the courtyard and gazebo areas with beautiful flowers, as well as visiting with the residents.
