Jayton’s Jaybird high school cross country teams competed in their first meet of the season last week in Haskell. The girls finished 1st and the boys finished 2nd.
Jace Chisum finished in 1st place for the girls. Other individual medalists were Maci Scott in 13th place, Kyndrey Branum in 17th, Reese Redford in 19th, and Abigail Mosley in 20th for the girls, and Sean Stanaland in 3rd place and Ben Baldridge in 17th for the boys.
