The biennial Jayton Homecoming is this year, and it’s set for September 27 through 29, 2018.
Activities get underway with a bonfire Thursday evening. The junior class is building the homecoming bonfire. Please contact Josh Stanaland at joshs@esc17.net with donations.
There will be a pep rally Friday at 3 p.m., and attendees can begin voting for Coming Home Queen and King then.
The homecoming game will be Friday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. with the Jaybirds hosting the Trent Gorillas.
The Fabulous Sandbillies will perform at the homecoming dances September 28 and 29. Friday night there will be no charge. The Friday night dance starts after the game at the fire station.
Saturday’s activities include the parade at 10 a.m., a tribute to R.N. Pierce after the parade in the R.N. Pierce Learning Center, lunch, catered by River Smith’s at a cost of $10 per person, silent auction, a business meeting around 2 p.m. and crowning of Coming Home King and Queen.

Class of ‘88–Andrew Sumner and Melody Nuding Rice
The Saturday night dance will be from 8 p.m. to midnight at the fire station. The cost will be $10, and koozies will be sold for $5. Attendees may bring in their adult beverage of choice as long as it comes in a can and can be placed in a koozie.
Sunday morning at 9 a.m. there will be a non-denominational church service at the school.
