After finishing 3rd out of 46 schools at the Regional 1A Academic Meet, Jayton will be sending nine students to Austin this week to compete in the UIL State 1A Academic Meet.
Competingwillbe:DayleeChisum in Accounting, Zech Mosley with the Accounting team, Jesse Yanez in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Lainey Baldridge in news writing and editorial writing, Griff Reel in Poetry, Jace Chisum with the Accounting team, Melody McClane in editorial writing and informative speaking and Colt Gentry in informative speaking.
Competition gets underway Wednesday, May 15 at the campus of the University of Texas in Austin.
