Never before in the history of JGISD has there been a school year like 2024-25.
That incredible success has been officially recognized by Texas UIL with the naming of Jayton as the #1 1A School in the State of Texas – making the school the winners of the prestigious 1A Lone Star Cup Award.
To celebrate this history- making achievement, the Kent County Lions Club is making an opportunity for you to own a one-ofa- kind T-shirt commemorative quilt, showcasing shirts from the 2024-25 events and accomplishments that earned Jayton the 66 points needed to edge out every other 1A school in Texas.
The queen-sized quilt is a tribute to the students, staff and community who made it all possible.
Raffle tickets are available now through Kent County Lions Club members at $5 each or 5 tickets for $20.
The winning ticket will be drawn during Jayton Homecoming, September 19-20.
