’Tis the season for giving. Kent County Lions are sponsoring a project that can provide a local opportunity for that giving.
The civic group is partnering with the Bruce Long Food Pantry to ensure that holiday boxes are available for all their families. A $30 gift makes possible a holiday box that is purchased with donations, but any donation amount is appreciated, according to organizers.
The Lions Club will be accepting cash donations on behalf of the food pantry and can be given to treasurer Christy Long at the Kent County Courthouse (or, if easier, to any Lions Club member).
Maybe it’s a challenge to find that perfect gift for the person who has everything – so a cash donation given in their honor might be just the thing; the Kent Lions Club will provide you with a card to present to the honoree.
