Scramble Results April 30, 2024. What a great evening it was for Scramble Time Tuesday! Once again, there was an awesome turnout of participants. We had enough players to form seven teams.
Coming in hot to the clubhouse was the team of Betsy Knox Arnold, Reid Arnold, Freddy Gonzalez, Andrew Bateman and Jimmy Ashley with 5 under par and a score of 31 to claim the 1st place money. Congratulations to them!
Three teams returned to the clubhouse tied at 4 under par and a score of 32.The tied teams decided that a playoff was in order. The teams consisted of Robert Daugherty, Andy Daughtry, Cory Daughtry, Brian Thomas and Robin Shuck; the team of Bryan Beaty, Tyler Luke, Aubrey Luke and Jason Tanner; and, the team of Dana Conrad, Russell Conrad, Mike Day, Chad Maines and Eddie Clark.
Teeing off on Hole No. 1 for the playoff, the teams of Beaty and Conrad prevailed with their birdies and forcing out the Daughtry team out who had a par. The Conrad team and the Beaty team proceeded on with the playoff with a chipoff contest. The chipoff was won by the team of Dana Conrad, Russell Conrad, Mike Day, Chad Maines and Eddie Clark with Dana Conrad’s beautiful chip landing approximately 2 to 3 feet from the hole (That Girl Was On Fire!) to take home the 2nd Place prize money. The team of Bryan Beaty, Tyler Luke, Aubrey Luke and Jason Tanner took home the 3rd Place winnings for the week! Congratulations on the great round, everyone.
We want to congratulate Jimmy Ashley on his closest to the pin winnings on No. 8. He landed his drive 8 feet 2 inches from the cup. Way to go, Jimmy!
No one landed their drive on the No. 1 Hole last week so that money pot will roll over and grow until someone lands there again! Thank you to everyone who came out to play! We hope you had a great time! We will do it again next week.
We have three tournaments that are quickly approaching. We have the Mixed Gender 3-person Scramble on May 11 and 12; Golfin with Nanna Debbie 4-person Scramble on May 18; and the Hackers 2-person Scramble on June 1 and 2. Get your teams signed up. We promise a good time will be had by all and memories will be made.
Also, don't forget to get your raffle tickets purchased for the chance to win some really great prizes. The tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100. Tickets may be purchased from any SGA Board member. Drawing for the prizes will be held on Sunday, June 2nd between the morning and afternoon rounds of the Hackers Tournament. You do not have to be present to win.
