Spur advances 7 to Regional in UIL Academics

    Last week Spur competed at the District UIL Academic meet and advanced seven to the Regional event, all regional qualifiers. Kylie Weiser took 2nd place in Copy Editing; Leah Muñoz placed 3rd in Ready Writing and 5th Literary Criticism; Joshua Ortiz placed 3rd in Informative Speaking and 4th in Current Events and Issues; and Margarito Pesina placed 3rd in Computer Applications.

    The Spelling team placed 1st, with Brandon Garza-West taking1st place, Leah Muñoz 2nd, McKenzi Allen 3rd and Aracely Fraga 4th.
