The first Tuesday scramble of the season teed off on April 2. The team of Jason Tanner, Justin Posey and Ron Young won 1st on a draw. Andrew Bateman won closest to the pin on #8 with his drive landing 3 feet and 4 inches from the hole. Way to go, Andrew!
Raffle tickets for the SGA fundraiser can be purchased from any SGA board member. First prize is a gift card in the amount of $1,500 from Golf Headquarters; 2nd prize is a Beretta A300 semiautomatic shotgun; and 3rd prize is a Scotty Cameron putter. These are all really great prizes so get in on your chance to win one of them!
We have three really fun tournaments coming up in the near future, and they will be here before you know it. The Golfin’ with Nanna Debbie 4-person scramble will be held on Saturday, May 18. All proceeds will go to fund the Debbie Daughtry Memorial Scholarship given by the Spur Ex-Students Association.
The Fifth Annual Hackers’ Tournament will be held on June 1 and 2. This is a two-person scramble and the entry fee is $200 per team. There will be a cash calcutta, $100 skins game and closest-to-thepin contest. Contact Landon Hinson at 806-786-5921 to enter your team.
The fundraiser for the Spur Class of 2025 will be held at the course on Saturday June 8. This is a 4-person scramble and the entry fee is $160 per team. Tee off will be at 9 a.m. Contact Brandee Hamilton at (806) 790-1967 or Kenzie Hale at (806) 269-0920 to get your team entered.
This is always a really fun day and it helps those kids fund their senior trip.
