For the first time in school
history the Spur Bulldogs won the Region 2, 1A track meet. The event occurred Friday and Saturday at Angelo State University in San Angelo and had several notable performances. Eight students will be advancing to the State 1A UIL Track Championship Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 at the University of Texas’s Mike A. Myers Track Complex. Senior Keaton Adams finished 1st place in the pole vault and set a new school record at 13’3”. Saturday night in Spur around 10:30 p.m., Burlington Avenue was lined with vehicles flashing their lights and honking their horns, welcoming back the first regional track champions in the school’s history.
