in Jayton, Spur qualified 14 athletes for the area meet, and the girls track team were District runners-up.
Girls qualifying for Area were Chelsea Davis, in shot put; Weslyn Givens in 4x400 relay; Jeri Holcomb in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays; Allee Hamilton in the 800, 1600 and 4x400 events; Erin McGalliard in the 4x100, 4x200 and pole vault events; Seagan Molina in the 4x100, and 4x200 relays; Olivia Ortiz in the 400m and 4x400 events; Kimberlee Segura in the high jump and 4x200 and 4x400 relays; and Tatum Walker in the 4x100, shot put and discus events.
Boys qualifying for Area were Adrian Garza-West in the discus and the 200m run; Margarito Pesina in the 4x100, 4x200, 100m and long jump events; JD Hamilton in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays; Josh Ortiz in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays and the 300 hurdles; and Ace Walker in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays.
