The Spurettes were the District champions and the Bulldogs were District runners-up at last week’s District track meet in Spur. Girls Area qualifiers were Kaygan Walker in the 100m, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay, long jump and triple jump; Kendal Walker in the 200m, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay, high jump and pole vault; Saegan Molina in the 200m, 4x100 relay and 4x200 relay; Sariah Sepeda in the 1600m and 3200m; Erin McGalliard in the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 4x100 relay and pole vault; Kimberlee Segura in the 4x200 relay and high jump; Keylee Hobbs in the high jump, and Chelsea Davis in discus and shot put.
For the boys, Adrian Garza-West qualified in the 100m, 200m, 4x200 relay and discus; Margarito Pesina in the 100m, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay and long jump; Ace Walker in the 200m, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay and pole vault; Wade McGalliard in the 800m and pole vault; Brandon Williams in the 110 hurdles; Josh Ortiz in the 300 hurdles, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay, long jump and triple jump; JD Hamilton in the 4x100 relay and 4x200 relay; and Brody Dempsey in pole vault.
