Scramble results, Aug. 27. It was a beautiful and fun evening for the weekly Tuesday Scramble. It was so much better than the “sweatfest” of the previous week! We had 37 scramblers show up to participate and 8 teams were formed.
Three teams returned to the clubhouse tied at 4 under par and a score of 32. The teams of Woodrow Stiewert, Anthony Segura, John Lehmann, Justin Posey, and Robert Daughtry; the team of Floyd Starkey, Aubrey Luke, Sue Starkey, Kevin Burchett and Sheldon Burchett; and the team of Landon Hinson, Rodney Roberts, Logun Timberlake, Dana Conrad and Justin Buck determined that a chip off would be played to determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for the week.
The Starkey team took 1st place, while 2nd place went to the Hinson team and 3rd place to the Stiewert team.
Taking home the money pot on the No. 8 hole was Eddie Clark, who planted his drive 18 feet 6 inches from the cup!
Justin Posey landed his drive on the No. 1 Hole at 34 feet from the cup to claim that money pot.
The SGA Club Championship and annual meeting will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28. Tee off for the championship round will be at 1 p.m. The annual meeting will begin immediately afterward at approximately 5:30 p.m. A meal will be provided.
Nominations and voting by written ballot will take place at the meeting for the board member spots of Betsy Arnold, Tyler Luke and Jason Tanner. Nomination forms will NOT be mailed out. The term for the new board members will be two years.
