Ten County Camp 2018 promises fun, education

Kids ages 9-18 from Dickens, Kent, Briscoe, Hall, Motley, Cottle, King, Stonewall, Foard and Knox counties are invited to attend the 2018 Ten County Camp Friday, July 20, in Roaring Springs. Attendees will meet at the Knox County Courthouse in Benjamin at 8:30 a.m. and caravan to Roaring Springs. Camp begins at 10:30 a.m. with registration.

The annual day camp includes education as well as fun. There will be workshops on archery, communication skills, team building and wildlife. Following the workshops and lunch, the kids will head for Roaring Springs Country Club to go swimming at the spring-fed swimming pool.

After swimming, there will be a hot dog supper, and a DJ will spin tunes for dancing. At 9:00 p.m. the kids will load up and return to the Knox County Courthouse at approximately 11:00 p.m.

The fee for the camp is $20.00, which covers workshop supplies, two meals, snacks and swimming. 4-H membership is not required to attend Ten County Camp. Note that a signed medical release form is required.
