Three seniors from Dickens, Kent selected for South Plains Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up scholarships

SPEC AWARDS $210,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL STUDENTS

Operation Round Up, a community service program supported by the members of South Plains Electric Cooperative, has awarded $210,000 in scholarships; 140 local students from area schools each received a $1,500 award for the 2025-2026 school year. These students were selected on their scholastic records, school and community service activities and financial need. Congratulations to the recipients. The 2025-2026 recipients from The Texas Spur readership area are Diezel Ramirez, Patton Springs High School; Jet Ramirez, Patton Springs High School; and Jesse Yanez, Jayton High School.
