Electric demand could nearly double by 2030

AUSTIN— The chief of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas told state lawmakers recently that the state’s power demand could nearly double in just six years. The reasons: population growth, new requests for grid connections, and a rise in requests from data centers and other heavy users.

CROSBY Lorenzo to celebrate holiday on July 4 LORENZO—The Lorenzo Chamber of Commerce has a full day of activities planned for Thursday, July 4. Events get underway at 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a pancake and sausage breakfast by the Lorenzo Senior Citizens at 502 Van Buren.

Dairy-free Cream Biscuits

There are many ways to achieve a great-tasting biscuit. In fact, there is a popular recipe in the South called cream biscuits that only has two ingredients. The concept is to combine heavy cream with self-rising flour. The heavy cream eliminates the need for butter.
