The mayor’s position will be on the May 3 ballot in Spur this year as well as the Ward 1, Ward 2 and Ward 3 city council positions. The incumbents for those positions are Louise Jones, mayor; Elaine Harris, Ward 1; Don Wright, Ward 2; and Rhea Melton, Ward 3. Each of these are for twoyear terms.

BIRDS FOUND IN THE WMA

The Matador Wildlife Management Area recently completed their Christmas Bird Count on the WMA, documenting over 75 bird species. The Christmas Bird Count is a community science program administered by the National Audubon Society.
