Dates for the 2026 show are January 9-10, 2026 The show barn will open 9:00 a.m. Friday. Weigh-in/Check-in will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday. ALL animals must be in the barn at this time. NO EXCEPTIONS. Animals must remain in barn after being weighed and/or entered and checked in.

Filings for city councils, school boards begin Jan. 14

Candidates seeking to have their name placed on the ballot in a local election for either a city council or school board must file a candidate application, according to the Texas Secretary of State’s office.
