Spur Homecoming is fast approaching, with next Thursday night, Sept. 18, 19, and 20. The Annual Saturday morning Homecoming Assembly and catered meal will be at the Spur Fire Station again this year. The theme for Homecoming 2025 is “Think I’ll Go Back Home.”

Spur’s St. Mary’s says farewell to Father Jegan

Rev. Jeganathan Arulsamy, known to the local St. Mary’s Catholic parishioners as “Father Jegan,” oversaw his last mass in Spur this past Sunday. He will now be the priest for St. Philip Benizi in Idalou and San Lorenzo in Lorenzo.
