Huley Newton “Pete” Day, 98, passed away on April 17, 2019 at his home in North Richland Hills, Texas. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Egbert and Della Day; his wife of 63 years, Delpha Atkins Day; his second wife of 7 years, Mary Campbell Day; and 12 siblings.

William “Punce” Albert Latham

William "Punce" Albert Latham, 35, of Idalou passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019. He was born Dec. 7, 1983 to Tommy and Mia (Hibbetts) Latham in Snyder. Punce moved from Spur in 1996 to Idalou and graduated from Idalou High School in 2002. He married Charli (Amason) Latham April 27, 2013 in Lubbock.

Gerry Estep Hughes 1941-2019

OBITUARIES Gerry Estep Hughes, 77, of Roaring Springs, Texas, born July 5, 1941, in Spur, Texas, went to her heavenly home on April 11, 2019. A visitation was held Saturday, April 13 from 5-7 p.m. at Zapata Funeral Home in Spur. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m.

Geeneta McAllister 1926-201

Geeneta McAllister, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2019 in Crosbyton, Texas. She was born June 9, 1926 in Spur to Bill and Marie Dement. She married JW McAllister Dec. 30, 1947. He died Nov. 26, 1996.

Stephen Wayne Daniels 1971-2019

Stephen Wayne Daniels, 47, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Round Rock, Texas. Steve was born in Hamlin, Texas on Oct. 20, 1971 to Bert Wayne Daniels and Linda Louise Daniels. Steve grew up and attended school in Jayton, Texas.

Gayle (Mumsy) Bledsoe

Gayle (Mumsy) Bledsoe, 83, of Big Spring, Texas died peacefully on March 17, 2019 in the caring and loving community at Park View Nursing Center. She was born June 30, 1935, in Spur, Texas, the daughter of J.C. (Chap) and Callie Mae Reese.

John Clayton Baum

Born the fourth of five children to Moses & Irene (née White) Baum in Cross Plains, Texas, John Clayton Baum moved with his family at the age of eight to McAdoo. He graduated from McAdoo High School in 1948. Clayton proudly served in The U.S. Army from 1954-56.
