Rev. James Kelley, Jr. was born on February 27, 1953, in Swenson, Texas, the third of nine children born to James Kelley, Sr. and Arizona Woods Kelley. James attended Haynes High School until Integration, then he transferred to Spur High School. James excelled at football, track.

Minnie Lee Morrow Stoneman 1940-2018

Minnie Lee Morrow Stone-man, 78, of Spur, Texas went to be with the Lord on Dec. 12, 2018. Minnie was born July 6, 1940 to Melvin Ray and Minnie Alma Morrow. She married the love of her life, Alvis Stone-man, on April 22, 1956.

Charlene Witt Rucker Brasher, 89, of Idalou, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22 at the First Baptist Church in Idalou, Philip Hilton officiating. Interment will follow at the Idalou Cemetery.

Jerry Wayne Shobert, 75, of Spur, Texas passed from this life on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018. Jerry was born on Oct. 31, 1943 in McCurtain, OK to Louis Lee Shobert and Gladys Vera Bean. Jerry married Lurlene Farley on Sept. 8, 1975.

Bonnie Lou (Parks) Gos-wick, 91, passed away Nov. 23, 2018, in Jayton. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 26 at the Jayton Church of Christ. Burial followed in Jayton Cemetery. Born Oct. 11, 1927, in Scurry County, Bonnie was the daughter of George and Izora (Hodges) Parks.
