Ruth York

It is with great sadness that the family of Ima Ruth Sweet York announce her passing on Oct. 5, 2018 at the age of 90. Ruth was born March 28, 1928 in Leedey, OK, the second child of Alva and Ola Sweet. Ruth married Buster York in Stephenville, TX June 4, 1946.

Norma Lee-Goss Fitzgerald

Norma was born in Glenn, TX to Rector (Butch) and Odell Goss. Norma graduated SHS Class of 1962. She married Armon (Flip) Fitzgerald on Nov. 17, 1962 in Lockney, TX. She was a homemaker who especially loved taking care of her grandkids and then her great-granddaughters.

Gail Latham Ward

Our loving Momma and Granny, Gail Latham Ward, earned her angel wings on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018. Gail was born to Glenn and Dorothy Latham on June 14, 1947 in Spur, TX. She graduated from Spur High School in 1965 and NMJC in 1979, earning her RN.

Loyd Isaac Rinehart

Loyd Isaac Rinehart, Sr., 95, passed away Sept. 20, 2018 at home. He was born March 1, 1923 at Sagerton, TX, to John and Celia Rinehart. He graduated from Girard High School in 1941. Loyd worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. from 1941-1983 as a gas tester.

Karon Sue Maben

Karon Sue Maben, aged 70, passed away Sept. 19, 2018 at her home in Spur after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Sue was born Feb. 3, 1948, in Jacksboro, TX, the daughter of Jeff and Margaret Stubblefield. Sue graduated from Spear-man High School in 1966.

Donnie Scott Hare Brownlee

Donnie Scott Hare Brown-lee, 87, of DeLeon, Texas, went home to her Lord and Savior Friday, July 6, 2018. She was born June 9, 1931, in Spur, Texas, to John R. Scott and Betty Mae Clements Scott. Donnie was a proud graduate of Spur High School (1948).

Milton Murl Harris

Funeral services for Milton Murl Harris, 94, of Lamesa will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God with Pastor Mike Matheny officiating. Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.

Billy George Drennan 1929–2018

Billy George Drennan, 89, of the Dickens area, one of the real “working” cowboys of the Caprock foothills and wagon boss for the Pitchfork Ranch for 31 years, left this world on Thursday, August 2, 2018, greeted by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Robbie Martin Wyatt, 104, died July 4, 2018 in Jayton, Texas. She was born in Dickens County, Texas on November 23, 1913 to Forrest and Mamie Martin. She grew up in the Highway community with her brothers, Harry and Forrest Jr., and sister, Sybil.
