Allee Hamilton graduates from South Plains College

LEVELLAND— Allee Hamilton of Spur, Texas, graduated with an Associate of Arts in general studies from South Plains College in Fall 2025. Hamilton was among more than 450 students recognized for their academic achievements and resilience in a changing world.

Spur grad named to ASU fall 2025 Dean’s List

Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, has announced the students achieving the Dean's List designation for the 2025 fall semester. To be eligible for the ASU Dean’s List, full-time undergraduate students must maintain a 3.25 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Spur students named to SPC Fall 2025 President’s List

South Plains College congratulates more than 400 students named to the Fall 2025 President’s List. Students named to the President’s Honor List earned a 4.0 grade point average while enrolled in at least 12 college credit hours. Spur students named on the list are Zechariah Mosley and Braden Tanner.

Bulldogs prepare to host Valley, Guthrie in district play

State-ranked Valley will come to Spur Jan. 17 to face the Bulldogs in Spur’s first district game of the 2026 slate. The game has been moved to Saturday due to the Dickens County Stock Show being held Jan. 16.

Spurettes cruise past Motley County, Paducah

Aftertwoopening-week wins in District 8-A, the Spur Spurettes basketball team will face back-to-back challenges when Valley and Guthrie visit the Dome. Coach Colton Rogers and team will host the Lady Patriots Jan. 17 in a Saturday game to accommodate this weekend’s stock show schedule.

Bulldogs fall to Crosbyton in back-to-back games

TheSpurBulldogs and Crosbyton Chiefs met over the holiday break and then started the new year face to face. The Bulldogs fell in both games, though the Jan. 6 home game was a different story. After a cold offensive performance Dec. 30 against the Chiefs, Spur took charge at The Dome.
