Spur to proceed with interior repairs to Swenson Park bathhouse

Following a process that began last summer to evaluate the condition and history of the Swenson Park swimming pool bathhouse, Spur city council voted last week to entertain bids for repair of the interior to provide usable public bathroom facilities for the city’s largest park.

37 seniors to graduate in Texas Spur Country

Thirty-seven seniors will graduate in upcoming ceremonies across Texas Spur Country. Spur will graduate 23 seniors, and the valedictorian is Madison Givens and the salutatorian will be Tessah Adams. The Spur graduation ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 21 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

Spur Elementary hosts retirement party for Agee

For 21 years assistant Sandy Agee has helped Spur Elementary students and parents with backpacks, school passes, missing homework and sick notices. Parents who themselves were youngsters when “Mrs. Agee” began her career with Spur schools will say good-bye to an era.
