NEW FIRETRUCK ON ORDER Spur’s newly ordered truck, similar to the one pictured that was built for the Iraan VFD. It should be a 2027 two-wheel-drive single-cab Freightliner that will haul 2,500 gallons of water with lots of fire hose storage on top of the tank, said Fire ChiefWess Abbott, with a 1,250-gallon-per-minute Hale fire pump.The custom fabricated storage compartments will contain all the firefighting equipment needed for structure fires and other rescue calls. | COURTESY PHOTO
