One of the highlights of 2025 Spur Homecoming will be a street dance Saturday night with Neon Revival featuring Spur alum Lindsey Eudey. Lindsey Rogers Eudey graduated as valedictorian of the Spur Class of 2007.

CUISINE & CULTURE Cut and come again. Gardeners that sowed seeds of leafy greens suggested in the “What to Plant Now” August 6 column likely already have established plantlets. Thirty- or 40-day-old greens will soon be ready for harvesting using the “cut and come again” method.

SET IN STONE On August 23 in downtown Spur, according to John Eric Swenson, workers installed a monument in Rickels Park acknowledging Clearway Energy’s contributions to the beautification of the park, via its Texas Solar Nova project.
