Summer bat tours, music, art continue at Caprock Canyon

At Caprock Canyons State Park in Quitaque, Ranger Natalie has July jam-packed with exciting, educational events. These events are a great way to get you and your family outdoors, whether you’re a camper, a day visitor, or even a local who wants to shoot over to the park just for the event.
RAGTOWN GOSPELTHEATER Glenn Polk has worn many hats over the years as performer, minister, director, builder, and, to many who know him best, a storyteller whose message has gone beyond the footlights of the Ragtown GospelTheater. From the garden July is watermelon season. Store-bought melons are filling grocery bins, but soon garden-grown watermelons will mature and be ready for harvest. Picking a melon from the grocer is often hit-and-miss.

The Spur Senior Citizens Center, located at 210 Burlington Ave., serves a noon meal Tuesday through Thursday. The dining room is open, or if you feel more comfortable, we offer a curbside lunch you can reserve by calling (806) 271-4472. A donation is always appreciated.
