ZEPHYR, TEXAS—W. C. “Dub” Rumfield, 92, went to be with his Lord on December 11, 2019, just two days before his 93rd birthday. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel at 303 Early Blvd., Early, Texas 76802.

Gloria Garza Perez 1949-2019

On Friday November 29, 2019, Gloria Garza Perez, loving daughter, mother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 70 after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. Gloria is survived by her mother, Maria Bustos Garza of Spur, Texas; Her two sons, Lupe and Armando M.

Don Condron 1933-2019

Don Condron, 86, of Spur, passed away peacefully in Sweetwater Friday, Nov. 22, from congestive heart failure. He was born Feb. 10, 1933, in Spur to Hade and Audie Condron. Don graduated Spur High School, class of 1950. He attended Texas Tech before entering the U.S.

Ila Ruth Draper Ball 1926-2019

Ila Ruth Draper Ball made her way to her heavenly home Thursday, Nov. 21, in Lubbock. She was born on Dec. 21, 1926, to Erna Mae and Joe Draper in Levelland. Her family returned to Spur shortly after her birth. She attended Spur Schools, graduating in 1944.

Sandra Gayle Spoon passed away at her home on Saturday, Nov. 9, in Lubbock. Graveside services were held Saturday, Nov. 16, at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements were by Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton. Sandra was born on Aug.

William G. (Bubba) Edwards Sr., 79, passed away November 11, 2019, in Jayton. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, in Jayton Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Bruce Stewart

Bruce Stewart, 60, of Snyder, Texas, died on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at his home in Snyder. Bruce was born on May 29, 1959, in Crosbyton, Texas, to Jimmy and Minnie Ola (Ward) Stewart. He married Becky Paulk on Dec. 07, 1990, in Snyder. Bruce was a unique individual.

Nick Scott

Nick Scott, 66, of Lamesa, Texas, passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, in Lubbock, Texas, after a brief illness. Born in Lamesa to Cecil and Pearl Ansley Scott on June 14, 1953, he was a graduate of Monterey High School and Texas Tech University.

Charles Edward Sonnamaker

Charles Edward Sonnamaker, 83, of Spur lost his battle with Lewy body dementia and Parkinson’s disease on Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born in Spur on Sept. 10, 1936, to Frank and Rilla Sonnamaker. He was a lifelong resident of Dickens County.

Effie Lee Freeman Ussery 1936-2019

Effie Lee Freeman Ussery passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, in Jayton. Effie was born May 30, 1936, in Aspermont to Clarence and Grace Freeman. She married Andy Ussery on Dec. 2, 1955, in Lovington, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1997.
