Dickens County students win trip to Washington, D.C.

Spur High School and Melania Ramirez from Patton Springs High School will each spend a week in Washington, D.C., thanks to South Plains Electric Cooperative.

Jayton’s Sparrow’s Nest expanding to help more area mothers

Maternity Home, founded in Jayton (Kent County) in 2020, is expanding its ministry to serve more mothers in need. For the past two and a half years, the Sparrow’s Nest has been serving mothers in crisis by providing them with a safe home and opportunities to change their circumstances.
